Snowshoe Tours - Two Options
For adventurous couples only! Grab your cutest beanie and explore the quiet and solitude of snowshoeing under the pines. There’s two options to choose from:
- Snowshoe Tour + Aprés in Tahoe Donner | February 14
- If you’re in Truckee, Tahoe Donner is hosting a snowshoe tour followed by drinks and appetizers at the Alder Creek Adventure Center. The price includes one drink per person, one shared appetizer, rentals, and a tour guide. Check it out here.
- Sunset Snowshoe Tour in Lake Tahoe | February 14
- Enjoy the Sierra alpenglow with a snowshoe trek through the forest. You’ll also get smarter on this trip as your guides wax poetically about local natural and cultural history. Live Music at Moody’s | February 14 + 15
We don’t know who’s playing that weekend yet, but Moody’s always has a great band playing every Friday and Saturday night. Best of all, the music is free. Make reservations for some of the best food in Truckee and stay for dancing. Check it out.
The Dead Winter Carpenters in South Lake | February 14
Truckee’s favorite local bluegrass band is heading to South Lake Tahoe this Valentine’s Day for the “Love for All Ball.” Mescalito Trio and Ten Foot Tiger are also on the musical line-up for the evening. The show starts at 8pm at Tep’s Villa Roma Italian Restaurant. What better way to burn off a rich Italian dinner than with lively dancing? Check it out.

The Art of Mixology | February 16
Grab your favorite drinking buddy and learn the art of crafting a tasty cocktail. The Ritz Carlton hosts this popular event on select days throughout the year.
